DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST |
ROLE SCOPE |
To support the expansion of our extensive portfolio of certified flavour standards which are used globally to train and validate professional taste panels in the beverage and food sectors. Work to provide our customers with the next generation of flavour standards which will help them to maintain the world class quality of their products. Participate in sensory evaluations of client’s products and learn the skills necessary to participate alongside our expert taste panel. |
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
Responsible for the development and introduction of new products and services to encourage growth of the business |
Organize and co-ordinate research and development projects |
Preparation and updating of information and documentation for product safety data including MSDS and COSHH |
Formulation of flavour complexes |
Responsible and accountable for the ordering and delivery of supplies |
Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment |
Assist with implementation of HACCP within the department through membership of the HACCP team |
Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Procedures |
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE |
Essential: |
Good degree in a scientific discipline (ideally Chemistry with a sensory background) |
Experience in the food and beverage industry |
Microsoft Office - Intermediate |
Desirable: |
Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO17025 and GMP |
Hands on experience of sensory analysis |
