Theory and Practice of Brewery Hygiene Management training at Efes, Russia

This month, Cara delivered training at for Efes on the theory and practice of brewery hygiene management. Cara Technology has experience of this area, having carried out similar work for other brewing companies, and has offered to assist in this project. A five day course was hosted on-site in Kaluga, Russia. The objectives of the course were to

  • Help the delegates develop detailed knowledge about the topics covered
  • Provide attendees with tools and resources they can share with colleagues to spread the knowledge and skills they acquire during the training throughout the Efes Group.

The course was attended by 20 delegates from the brewery, including quality managers, laboratory supervisors and key quality specialists. The course,designed and presented by Dr Bill Simpson, focused on a wide range of topics on brewery hygiene management, such as microbiological contaminants of breweries and risk factors for product contamination. The five day training included lectures and tutorials, as well as practical laboratory demonstrations and assesment. The feedback from this course was excellent and was also attended by Daniel Kerruish from our Brewing Technology team.
